TUNABLE PHASE SHIFTER AND ITS APPLICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus improved to reduce leakage effects for a local oscillator in a direct down conversion receiver.

SOLUTION: A phase shift filter and the direct down conversion receiver which performs phase compensation are provided. A DC offset detector detects DC offsets in received baseband signals and outputs feedback signals. A tunable filter phase shifts local oscillator signals in response to the feedback signals, and the phase-shifted local oscillator signals are used to directly down convert received RF signals. Thereby as a result, DC offsets in the baseband signals are reduced.
