<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development roller having a surface layer which has high durability, achieves stable development efficiency and suppresses fogging and exudation of a low-molecular-weight substance contained in an elastic layer, the development roller being excellent also in resistance to compressive permanent strain. <P>SOLUTION: The surface layer of the development roller contains a polysiloxane containing a fluoroalkyl group and an oxyalkylene group and a polysiloxane comprising a first unit represented by SiO<SB>0.5</SB>R<SP>1</SP>(OR<SP>2</SP>)(OR<SP>3</SP>), a second unit represented by SiO<SB>1.0</SB>R<SP>4</SP>(OR<SP>5</SP>) and a third unit represented by SiO<SB>1.5</SB>R<SP>6</SP>. When the number of moles of the first unit, the number of moles of the second unit and the number of moles of the third unit in the polysiloxane are represented by x [mol], y [mol] and z [mol], respectively, x, y and z satisfy 0.60≤ä(x+y)/(x+y+z)}≤0.80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
