<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network monitor system for monitoring whether a plurality of access networks connected to a backbone network operate normally. <P>SOLUTION: Each of gateways interconnecting terminal devices and access networks is provided with a continuity testing means of conducting a continuity test of a target gateway to be connected and generating a continuity test result signal showing the result.
