<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planetary gear mechanism carrier plate as a pressed product of a metal plate material, having marginally improved rigidity. <P>SOLUTION: The carrier plate 12 comprises a leg part 24 mounted in a supporting hole 22 of a carrier base 10 and integrated therewith by electronic beam welding. The leg part 24 of the carrier plate is formed in a boxed-shape which is closed in its three faces with proper-step drawing work during pressing the metal plate material.
