<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for browsing broadcast programs, utilizing a dynamic user interface. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of broadcast programs are classified into a plurality of groups, referring to EPG information or a user's audience record, and all broadcast programs included in the groups are arranged in one-dimensional form so that the groups are arranged one dimensionally. After that, the groups and broadcast programs arranged in this way are displayed on a screen in the form of graphics, and criterion for deciding group is set changeable by the user, and thereby the user can use only a simple inputting method to simply increase or decrease the number of channels and conveniently browse broadcast programs, intuitively utilizing the EPG information and the user's own viewing record.
