<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optical device in which irregular display due to the rugged surface of a color filter substrate is hardly caused and to provide a method for manufacturing the electro-optical device, and electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optical device is provided, on a substrate, with a metallic film, a plurality of colored layers and a transparent resin layer formed on the plurality of colored layers. The adjacent colored layers of the plurality of colored layers are superposed respectively on a part of the metallic film and arranged at intervals two-dimensionally. A layer thickness adjusting film is arranged between the adjacent colored layers arranged at intervals.
