PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method of rewriting a control program, rewriting program, information processor, and a program and method of controlling the information processor which do not need any memory dedicated to the rewriting program and are excellent in reducing complications of address management depending on an arrangement position of the rewriting program. SOLUTION: A device 10 includes a microprocessor 10a and a program storage memory 10b for storing a control program and a rewriting program for rewriting the control program. The rewriting program does not delete data or write data to an address area (corresponding to a boot address area of the microprocessor 10a) of a code described only in prescribed numerical value in the control program for rewrite in a program storage memory 10b.
