PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly divide a device constituting an image display device. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the image display device having a wiring 2 and a display element electrically connected to the wiring 2 comprises a step of dividing a device having the wiring 2 and a substrate 1 holding the wiring 2.
