PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kerosene composition for stably operating a heating apparatus and a hot water-supplying apparatus for longer terms, particularly a kerosene composition that can reduce, as much as possible, deterioration in a combustion status in a fan heater or the hot water-supplying apparatus which has a complicated combustion mechanism and in which complicated combustion control is carried out. SOLUTION: The kerosene composition has a total sulfur content of at most 80 mass ppm with a sulfur content of at most 2 mass ppm from mercaptans and a sulfur content of at most 1 mass ppm from sulfur compounds heavier than thiophene and lighter than benzothiophene in the total sulfur content.
