PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a foreign matter from being caught between a mast part and a front pillar in an industrial vehicle provided with the inclinable mast parts on the front and rear sides of the vehicle and the front pillar at a front part of the vehicle. SOLUTION: A pressure sensor 40 is provided on a lift cylinder 35 at a portion opposed to the front pillar. The pressure sensor 40 outputs a foreign matter detection signal to a control device 18 when the foreign matter exists between the mast part and the front pillar and is contacted with the pressure sensor 40. When the foreign matter detection signal is inputted, the control device 18 can prevent the foreign matter from being caught between the mast part and the front pillar by stopping feeding of electric power to a cargo work motor 17 and stopping cargo work action.
