A flare (1) firing frame for night artillery exercises has a base frame with a number of side-arms (2) with clamps (5) to which the flare trigger wires (6) are secured. Each arm has a slide (4, 7) positioned between the respective flare and clamp. Each slide can move along one or more arms. Also claimed is a night flare launch assembly on which the slide (4) is shifted along the frame by a cable (8).
