An information service method of a portable terminal and a device are provided to link information on other events according to reference events to offer the reference events together with the linked information, thereby combining a lot of information to supply the combined information as visually configuring information provided from the terminal by using event icons. A storage(130) stores data of reference events and data of at least one of other events corresponding to the reference events, whenever the reference events are generated. A resource editor(160) generates graphic data on all of the events by using the data and prestored resources. A controller(170) displays information on each reference event and information on the other events corresponding to each reference event as event icons on a display(150) by using the graphic data, according to each generation point of time of the reference events.
