The air clea ner (100) includes a printed circuit board (PCB) (111) configured to operate the air cleaner (100) and a diagnostics circuit (116). The diagnostics circ uit (116) is configured to receive a predetermined diagnostic initiation seq uence in the air cleaner (100), initiate a diagnostics process for one or mo re operational features of the air cleaner (100) in response to the predeter mined diagnostic initiation sequence, and generate a diagnostics determinati on as a result of the diagnostics process.
