<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate free from a defect in viewing caused by the interference of light such as interference fringes, having excellent abrasion resistance and antidazzle characteristics, and suitable for a liquid crystal display or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing plate is obtained by stacking: a protective layer A in which thermoplastic resin layers are stacked by (k) pieces ((k) is the integer of ≥2), and also, the refractive index n<SB>i</SB>(λ) in the wavelength λ in the range of 380 to 780 nm in the thermoplastic resin layer of the i-th, and the refractive index n<SB>i+1</SB>(λ) in the wavelength λ in the range of 380 to 780 nm in the thermoplastic resin layer of the i+1-th satisfy the relation in inequality [1] ¾n<SB>i</SB>(λ)-n<SB>i+1</SB>(λ)¾≤0.05 (wherein, (i) denotes the integer of 1 to k-1); a polarizer; and a protective layer B at least in this order, and has a haze of 10 to 60%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
