PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and the like by which the visibility of an object image displayed on an LCD or the like with high magnification zooming even in the case of a compact digital camera with a high magnification zoom function and easily capturing a photo-opportunity. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus including: a CCD(45) for applying photoelectric conversion to an optical image; a first CCD signal processing block (51) for processing the signal subjected to the photoelectric conversion so as to revise a frame rate of monitoring; an LCD monitor (13) for displaying an imaged image; and an optical or digital zoom function, and imaging the image by revising the zoom magnification is characterized in that the first CCD signal processing block (51) revises the frame rate in monitoring on the basis of the zoom magnification and the LCD monitor (13) displays the image imaged at the frame rate.
