PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a standard cell. SOLUTION: The standard cell has a vdd trunk line 61 and a gnd trunk line 62 disposed face to face, active regions 63, 64 provided beneath between these trunk lines 61, 62, and a plurality of MOS transistors formed on the active regions 63, 64 having connections 63a, 64a extending beneath the vdd and gnd trunk lines 61, 62 to connect them to the vdd and gnd trunk lines 61, 62 through the connections 63a, 64a.
