PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and its method capable of accurately judging whether all pins are fully and surely press-fitted and jointed into through-holes.

SOLUTION: The joint state inspection device 4 for a connector 1 for inspecting quality of a joint state of pins 11 of the connector press-fitted and jointed into the through-holes 21 of a substrate 2 is provided with a first switch part 42 capable of switching ON/OFF by the pins 11 with a stick-out margin of a minimum length S1, and a second switch part 43 capable of switching ON/OFF by the pins with a stick-out margin of a maximum length of not less than S2.
