PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing a jam and damage to recording paper, which result from curls in both ends of recording paper passed through a fixing nip formed by the contact of a heat roller 61 with a pressure roller 62. SOLUTION: The shape of a swingable member 101 for a conveyance path switching device that switches a conveyance path for recording paper passed through the fixing nip is designed such that when the recording paper is curling toward the middle at both widthwise ends along the planar direction of the recording paper and perpendicular to the direction of the conveyance of the recording paper is fed from the fixing nip so that the widthwise middle of the recording paper coincides with the withwise middle of the conveyance path used after fixing, both ends of the shape push and extend the curls of the ends of the recording paper wide toward the widthwise ends from the middle while both the widthwise ends of the shape are kept in contact with the curls of the widthwise ends of the recording paper.
