PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement technique for completing measurement by using a GPS even if it is not on land and also facilitating management. SOLUTION: The measurement method using a GPS is a measurement method in which the position of a measuring object is measured from a structure disposed at a measurement site. A GPS device and a total station are disposed on the structure to measure a relative position of the GPS device by the total station. The position of the total station is associated with the position of the GPS device while the relative position of the measuring object is measured by the total station. The position of the measuring object is associated with the position of the GPS device, thereby obtaining the relative position of the measuring object from its position in a global coordinate system or from a prescribed position on land.
