PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor where a stator efficiently operates torque on a rotor while an increase of a friction load is prevented by a slider, and a whole device can be miniaturized in an axial direction. SOLUTION: The electric motor 1 includes the rotor 3 in an almost cylindrical shape, a rotation axis 4 installed in the rotation center of the rotor 3; a stator 5 for covering an outer periphery 3a of the rotor 3, forming a magnetic field, operating torque around the rotation axis 4 on the rotor 3, and having yokes 23 and 24; bearings 13 and 14 which are fixed to the stator 5 by supporting members 11 and 12, and support the rotation axis 4 so that it can rotate; and a slider 8 in an almost planar shape, which is arranged between the bearings 13 and 14 and an end 3c of the rotor 3. A first recess 6 for storing a part of the slider 8 so that it can slide around the rotation axis 4 in the direction of the axis L of the rotation axis 4 is formed in the end 3c of the rotor 3.
