PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new composition for dyeing keratinous fibers that make it possible to obtain strong, chromatic, aesthetic and sparingly selective coloring in coppery shades, which shows good resistance to various attacking factors to which hair may be subjected, such as shampoo, light, sweat and permanent reshaping operations. SOLUTION: The composition for dyeing the keratinous fibers comprises 2,3-diamino-6,7-dihydro-1H,5H-pyrazolo[1,2-a]pyrazol-1-one as a first oxidation base, 6-chloro-2-methyl-5-aminophenol as a first coupler and a substituted m-aminophenol of prescribed formula as a second coupler. It is understood that the molar ratio of the first oxidation base/first coupler is <1.5, the molar ratio of the first oxidation base/second coupler is >1 and the molar amount of the first oxidation base is≥2.5×10<SP>-3</SP>mol based on 100 g of the composition. The strong, very chromatic, aesthetic, sparingly selective and fast coloring of the keratinous fibers in the coppery shades can be obtained.
