<p>Provided is an optical element molding apparatus including a pushing device for pushing a trunk mold downward to fix the same to a receiving bed. While the trunk mold being fixed on the receiving bed by the pushing device, a gripping device mounts and demounts an upper mold on and from the trunk mold. On the other hand, a lower mold is made to engage with a tapered retaining portion of the trunk mold through a tapered retaining portion, and is fixed in a receiving mold through the trunk mold by the pushing device. According to this molding apparatus, the trunk mold and the lower mold can be easily fixed on the receiving bed by the pushing device for pushing the trunk mold to the receiving bed, no matter whether an outer trunk to be arranged around the trunk mold might be present or not.</p> |
