A brush bristle material and a brush are provided to improve abrading force and honing force of the brush and to prevent the brush bristle material from being broken by reinforcing the nerve part and preventing a shear part from being widened. A brush bristle material(11) is formed by at least one kind of diamond abrasive grain of synthetic resin materials(111) composed of single threads, and at least one kind of brush bristle mixed by the abrasive grains. A metallic fitting inserts and fixes an end of the brush bristle material. A covering(13) is mixed with the abrasive grains to cover the brush bristle from the part except for the part fixed by the metallic fitting to the distal end portion. The covering is chosen from one of a string member, a net member, a plating member, a deposition member, a coating member, a synthetic resin pipe, and a metallic pipe. Further, the synthetic resin materials is one or more selected from diamond grain, honing abrasive grain, charcoal, volcanic ash, negative ion material and incense material. |
