Buckles with two separable parts for fixing a V-shaped strap and its use for fastening a safety helmet

The buckle has two detachable buckle parts (1, 2) in which one buckle part (1) includes a transversal edge (8) around which a V-shaped strap is passed for changing of direction. A guiding unit guides the strap in an inclined direction. The buckle part (1) has two anti-tilting elements e.g. retaining lugs (6), for retaining the strap and mutually inclined with respect to each other. A free space (9) defined between the transversal edge and elements passes and permits mutual contact of two strands (3a, 3b) of the strap by their respective surfaces, before and after the changing of direction.
