A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to execute stable sustain discharge by adjusting the width and magnitude of sustain pulses supplied to scan and sustain electrodes during a sustain period. A plasma display device includes first and second electrodes(X1-Xn,YG1-YG2), and third electrodes(A1-Am) to cross with the first and second electrodes. The first electrodes are divided into plural groups having first and second groups. At least one sub-fields include address and sustain periods corresponding to the groups. During a first sustain period(S11) between the first and second address periods, a first voltage difference is generated between the first and second electrodes during a first interval. A second voltage difference smaller than the first voltage difference is generated between the first and second electrodes during a second interval.
