<p>A method and an apparatus for controlling terminal functions in a WiBro system are provided to bolster security by controlling some functions, which can be used for malicious purposes, when a WiBro terminal is located in a specific area such as a security zone. A WiBro system consists of base stations, a control system(500), and WiBro terminals. In case a WiBro terminal enters into a specific zone, the control system(500) outputs a control signal containing control information to control functions of the WiBro terminal. The control system(500) comprises a synchronous clock processing part(540), a control sequence creation part(530), an OFDMA signal processing part(520), and an RF signal processing part(510). The synchronous clock processing part(540) provides a clock to synchronize the control signal with a downlink signal transmitted to the WiBro terminal from a base station. The control sequence creation part(530) creates a control data sequence to control functions of the WiBro terminal. The OFDMA signal processing part(520) executes baseband processing for the created control data sequence according to an OFDMA scheme. The RF signal processing part(510) upconverts the baseband-processed control data sequence and transmits it through an antenna.</p> |
