FLOW CONTROL VALVE USING PIEZOELECTRIC ACTUATOR

A flow control valve using a piezoelectric actuator is provided to control proportionally flow and to reduce energy consumption by using characteristic of the piezoelectric actuator. A flow control valve for controlling a flow amount includes a valve body(100) and a piezoelectric actuator(200). The valve body is divided into an upper section and a lower section. The valve body includes a flow incoming hole(111), a flow channel communicated with the flow incoming hole, a flow outgoing hole(112) having a nozzle(112a) communicated with the flow channel. An end of the piezoelectric actuator is fixed between the upper section and the lower section to be positioned to cover the nozzle. The piezoelectric actuator includes a piezoelectric ceramic deformed by an applied voltage. The piezoelectric actuator further includes an elastic body attached on a lower surface of the piezoelectric ceramic.
