<p>A method for scanning an AP(Access Point) of a mobile communication terminal is provided to scan the AP at different AP scan periods according to AP sensing fail or UNC(Unlicenced Mobile Access Network Controller) connection fail frequency, thereby simultaneously solving power consumption and quick AP detection generated when the AP scanning is performing at uniform periods. A method for scanning an AP(Access Point) of a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps of: performing AP scanning(203); attempting UMA(Unlicenced Mobile Access) network controller connection through a sensed AP if AP sensing is successful(205,207); and if the AP sensing is failed, performing AP scanning after a predetermined AP scan period corresponding to a fail frequency(211).</p> |
