HEAT-SEALABLE MULTILAYER POLYPROPYLENE RESIN FILM AND PACKAGING MATERIAL

Disclosed is a heat-sealable multilayer polypropylene resin film having heat-seal strength and sealing performance sufficient for packaging a heavy article. Also disclosed is a packaging material obtained by using such a film. Specifically disclosed is a heat-sealable multilayer polypropylene resin film which is a stretched polypropylene resin film composed of a multilayer body having three or more layers including a base layer composed of a crystalline polypropylene resin and a propylene/alpha-olefin copolymer and having a melting point of not more than 155°C, an intermediate layer and a heat seal layer having a melting point of not more than 150°C. This heat-sealable multilayer polypropylene resin film is characterized in that the xylene-soluble content in the intermediate layer is not more than 2.5%, the melting point of the base layer is higher than that of the intermediate layer, and the thickness of the intermediate layer is not less than 4 mum.
