Circuit breaker-short circuit combination

The switch (10) has a switch lock for current phases of an electrical system to be protected, and an electronic detection unit e.g. electronic actuator, for detecting an electric arc in one of the phases. Threaded pins are arranged on load-side current connection rails (12) for detachable attachment of a pyrotechnically driven short-circuiter (30). The short-circuiter produces a short-circuit between the current connection rails during detection of the electric arc by the detection unit.
