An animal safety garment comprising a web of strips arranged to fit over the hindquarters of a horse or pony. Means for attaching the web 1 to the horse are provided so that the garment remains in place on the horse. The strips define gaps bounded by the strips that expose areas of the hindquarters of the horse. The strips are made of highly visible material such as reflective, iridescent, retro reflective or luminescent material. The strips may also comprise lighting. The garment increases the horse's visibility without covering the hindquarters of the horse thus reducing how much the horse sweats. Means such as a crupper bar may also be provided to attach the device to a saddle. |
