<p>The hearing aid (3) has a hearing aid housing with a surface, which is partly provided with an electrophoretic reproduction unit (7). The hearing aid is designed to transmit a serial number-data record (15) and/or a type-data record to the electrophoretic reproduction unit for visual reproduction, where the data records represent a serial number and type information, respectively. The data records are stored in a memory (14), and an interface (16) is provided for receiving the serial number data record and/or a color pattern-data record (17).
