<p>The method involves saving a memory cell group under test in a safe memory zone e.g. static memory, after correcting errors of the group to obtain a model group with model packets. A bit to bit comparison between the model group and the cell group, that is not corrected or refreshed during a latency period, is performed. A packet of the cell group is considered as an error when the cell group`s packet contains a number of error bits greater than a limit value. A value of a refreshing frequency is increased when a number of cell groups, having the error packet, is greater than a threshold. An independent claim is also included for a device for refreshing a dynamic RAM.</p> |
