KEY-PAD AND KEY-PAD ASSEMBLY USING THE SAME

A key pad and a key pad assembly using the same are provided to minimize a cause to bring about an operational error caused by adjacent key buttons and to allow a user to identify clearly characters through comparison with a key button printed with the characters. A key pad(100) includes one key button(110), an elastic layer(130), and a flexible printed circuit board(120). The key button is provided with a liquid crystal display screen(111). The elastic layer is positioned below the key button. The flexible printed circuit board is positioned between the elastic layer and the key button, and is electrically connected to the key button. The key button provides at least two or more characters and photographs as images. The key pad includes a buffer area formed in a portion on an upper surface of the elastic layer being in contact with the flexible printed circuit board, which corresponds to the key button. At least one protrusion(131) corresponding to the key button is formed below the elastic layer. The elastic layer provides a restoration force after the key button is pressed.
