A disk drive carrier assembly (1) for carrying plural disk drives (2) is provided. The assembly (1) has a casing (3) having first and second opposed ends, opposed sides, a top and a bottom. Drive cards (10) are provided in the casing (3). Each drive card (10) has a disk drive receiving portion (21) for receiving a disk drive (2) and provides at least one of a power and a data connection to a disk drive (2). A baffle arrangement (30,31,32,33) splits an air stream entering the casing (3) at a first end of the casing (3) to flow over the disk drive receiving portion (21) of each of the drive cards (10). The drive cards (10) and the baffle arrangement (30,31,32,33) are arranged so that air flows only in parallel over the disk drive receiving portion (21) of each of the drive cards (10). In this way, each disk drive receiving portion (21) receives air that has not passed over another disk drive receiving portion (12) of the assembly (1). |
