A system and a method for sensing a moving body by using structured light, and a mobile robot including the system are provided to sense a moving body by predicting an image after the movement of the system from an existing image and compare the predicted image with a current image, thereby sensing the moving body during movement, sensing a wide range of the moving body and sensing the moving body without light. A system for sensing a moving body(100) includes an image acquiring unit(110), an image predicting unit(120) and a comparing/analyzing unit(130). The image acquiring unit acquires a first image in a predetermined location and a second image in a location after the system moves by using a light source. The image predicting unit predicts the second image in the location after the movement of the system by using the first image and information about the movement of the system. The comparing/analyzing unit compares and analyzes the second image acquired in the image acquiring unit with the second image predicted in the image predicting unit.
