METHOD FOR DEVICE AUTHENTICATION USING BROADCAST ENCRYPTION

A device authentication method using broadcast encryption is provided to perform the safe data communication between privileged devices by providing integrity for group key information. A device authentication method using broadcast encryption includes the steps of: mutually transmitting group key versions included in group key information stored in each device(S110); determining latest version of two group key versions by comparing its own group key version and transmitted other's group key version(S120); sharing the group key information of the determined latest group key version(S130); calculating a group key by using the shared group key information(S140); and performing mutual authentication between two devices based on the calculated group key(S150).
