摘要 An electric generator driven by vibration has first and second coils 238,240 each disposed between a respective pair of magnets 232,234,236 whereby relative movement between the coil and the magnets generates an electrical current in the coil. Vibratable first mounts 222,226,230 for each of the magnets and vibratable second mounts 224, 228 for the coil cause each of the associated magnets and the coils to respectively vibrate about a respective central position and out of phase with each other. The arrangement may be arranged with the coils and magnets on a common axis or the vibrating elements may be circumferentially arranged. The coil/magnet assemblies may be arranged such that a magnet pair 406,408 or 426,428 is only associated with a respective coil 412 or 432, the two assemblies being decoupled. The generator may be used in aircraft health and safety monitoring systems, railway track sensors or battery charging systems in vehicle tracking systems.
