An engine full load detection control method of a hybrid vehicle is provided to satisfy the optimal demand torque of an engine by applying the same engine full load detection logic by an HCU(Hydraulic Control Unit) and an EMS(Engine Management System), if the HCU requires high demand torque. An engine full load detection control method of a hybrid vehicle comprises the steps of: controlling the engine full load detection of an HCU on the basis of detection value of an accelerator pedal sensor and vehicle speed sensors(S101,S102,S105); controlling the engine full load detection of an ECU(Engine Control Unit) receiving engine torque and engine speed by CAN-communicating with the HCU(S106,S108,S109); and selectively executing the controls of engine full load or part load after continuously executing the above two steps(S112,S113).
