A display device for a vehicle with a back seat entertainment system is provided to allow a user to open a monitor automatically by using an elastic spring and lift the monitor in a vertical direction by using elastic force of the spring. A monitor(10) is installed at an upper portion of a console box such that it can be folded by a hinge shaft(11). A monitor base(12) includes a fixing button(13) formed on its upper surface to open and close the monitor(10). A return spring(15) is installed on the hinge shaft(11). A gear box(17) is formed such that its front surface is installed at a rear side of the console box and its upper end portion is installed at a lower end of the monitor(10). A plurality of gears(19,20) is installed within the gear box(17) and combined at a certain gear ratio. A vertical gear(22) is formed in a vertical direction at the console box so as to be engaged with one of the gears(19,20).
