ULTRA SMALL INPUT DEVICE USING CATERPILLAR

An ultra small input device using a caterpillar is provided to scroll and operate a screen displayed on a portable phone with ease to make the device thin in comparison with a jog type. Two or more rollers(18) are engaged with an inner side of a caterpillar chain(17) to rotate. A sensor senses a rotation direction and movement distance of the chain or the roller. A controller generates a scroll signal for a screen in accordance with the rotation direction and movement distance measured by the sensor. A display scrolls the screen according to the signal of the controller.
