A data recording and reproducing apparatus is provided to reproduce data recorded in the recording medium as well as to record data in a recording medium by utilizing an optical pickup actuator having two lenses. A data recording and reproducing apparatus comprises a lens holder(110), a magnetic circuit(130), and a reflection mirror. The lens holder includes first and second lenses(101,102) and rotates by a predetermined angle. The magnetic circuit makes the lens holder rotate. The reflection mirror is located on the path of a first beam and reflects the first beam to the first lens according to the rotation of the lens holder. The reflection mirror guides a reproduction beam passed through the second lens to move on the path of the first beam in reverse. The reflection mirror is inclined at a predetermined angle and attached under the first and second lenses.
