<p>Diagnostic methods and kits for colorectal cancer are provided to select tumor suppressor genes in recurrently altered genomic region(RAR) and determine their expression changes, so that they are useful for predicting prognosis of various cancers including colorectal cancer and diagnosing cancers at an early stage. A diagnostic method for colorectal cancer comprises the steps of: (1) observing the recurrently altered genomic region(RAR) selected from RAR-L1(deletion of chromosome 1p36) and RAR-L20(deletion of chromosome 21q22) on chromosome; and (2) measuring the expression changes of a specific gene such as tumor suppressor gene CAMTA1(calmodulin binding transcription activator 1) on the observed RAR, wherein the expression reduction of CAMTA1 gene on the RAR indicates negative prognosis of colorectal cancer.</p> |
