<p>A light emitting device, and a method and a driver for driving a pixel circuit are provided to improve image quality by setting a voltage level of a gate of a driving transistor so as to turn on the driving transistor in a saturation region during an illumination period for illuminating illumination elements. A driver for driving a pixel circuit includes the pixel circuits(P) and an illumination control circuit(24). The pixel circuits include illumination elements illuminated by driving currents, driving transistors for generating the driving currents, and conductive type illumination control transistors formed on the path of the driving currents supplied to the illumination elements. The illumination control circuit sets the voltage level of a gate of a driving transistor so as to turn on the driving transistors in a saturation region during an illumination period for illuminating the illumination elements.</p> |
