A system for playing bidirectional video and audio data and a method therefor are provided to enable a user to intervene in the scene of a movie clip, thereby improving economical efficiency and being easy to use. A method for playing bidirectional video and audio data comprises the following steps of: generating a movie clip(72) where plural symbols are set; positioning a play cursor to one of symbols(721-724) of the movie clip; receiving an operation signal and performing a next process; and moving the play cursor from the current symbol position to the final position of the movie clip, transmitting the video data of the movie clip corresponding to the play cursor to a video play apparatus to play the video data of the movie clip, stopping the reproduction of the video data and returning to the third process if the play cursor moves the symbol of a first volume, and allowing the play cursor to indicate a next symbol and repeating the fourth process if an operation signal is received during the movement of the play cursor. |
