<p>A mobile terminal having rotary keys and an operation control method thereof are provided to improve menu accessibility by enabling a user to access a power menu, composed of selected menu items, through rotary keys regardless of the current operation state. If the user of a mobile terminal pushes or rotates the first rotary key when the mobile terminal is in an idle state or while a specific application is being executed, the control part of the mobile terminal displays a power menu(S200-S210). The user rotates the first rotary key and selects one of the menu items of the power menu(S215-S220). At this moment, the control part judges whether the first rotary key is pushed(S225). If the first rotary key is pushed, the control part executes an operation corresponding to the selected menu item(S230).</p> |
