The control method for feeding plate-shaped workpieces to a work station involves prior feed to control station (1) for checking numbers of required workpieces (8) to be fed to the work station (7), with weighing units using an electronic weighing unit for provision of signals to the control unit (6), which in turn provides signals for feed of workpieces to the work station, where the provided weight signals are within a first determined theoretical value range. The weighing unit is held fixed above a fixation structure and control occurs directly at the control station before commencement of movement of workpieces to the work station, for the purpose of provision of secure movement of only one workpiece at a time to the work station.
