A power outlet for a vehicle is provided to allow a power outlet cover to be rotatable by a predetermined angle in accordance with the direction of characters engraved on a cover plate. A power outlet for a vehicle includes a main body having an open top, a support portion joined onto the main body, and a cover(300) hinged to the support portion. The cover includes a cover plate(360) for closing the open top of the main body, a cover plate fitting portion(320) having an inner surface with an opening(321) for fitting the cover plate, a hinge connection portion(310) formed integrally with the cover plate fitting portion and hinged to the support portion, a connection portion(330) formed integrally with the cover plate fitting portion and connected/disconnected to/from the support portion. The cover plate is removable from the cover plate fitting portion, and has a top surface on which characters(350) are engraved.
