A refrigerator is provided to manufacture supercooled liquid artificially and make slush from the supercooled liquid, and to control softness of the slush by adjusting supercooling temperature of the supercooled liquid. A refrigerator comprises a freezer compartment, a flow path, a door, an energy generator, a panel, a chilled air controller, and a phase changer(44). The freezer compartment supplies chilled air(42). The flow path, provided with a liquid outlet, allows the temperature of liquid(41) to be lowered by chilled air in the freezer compartment. The energy generator, disposed on the flow path, supplies energy for supercooling the liquid and is provided with an electrode(40) forming an electric field, and a controller adjusting intensity of the electric field. The panel is provided on the door for selecting temperature of the supercooled liquid. The chilled air controller adjusts the amount of chilled air supplied to the flow path by the selection of the panel. The phase changer exerts external force on the supercooled liquid for converting the supercooled liquid to solid state before the supercooled liquid flows out via the liquid outlet. |
