A pants-type disposable wearing article where a fastener means for reconnecting front and rear panels after separating them can be kept in usable safe conditions until the article is used. A disposable diaper (10) has a front panel (16) and a rear panel (17) that are connected, cutting sections (22) capable of separating the front and rear panels (16, 17) and arranged at both waist side sections (18, 19), and fastener members (23) capable of reconnecting the front and rear panels (16, 17) in a separated state, and provided on the inner face (14) side of the rear panel (17) so as to be close to the cutting sections (22). Cover members (24) for covering the cutting sections (22) and the fastener members (23) are arranged on the inner face (14) side of the rear panel (17).
